I've been listening to Nina Simone all day as I try to whip my muse into shape.
This song in particular has been played over and over again. It has been done a few times by different artists, from Nat King Cole to Gene Kelly. I believe that nobody does it better than Nina.

Interview With My Son
A few months ago I interviewed my son for another blog that I write on. I just thought I'd share it today.
1. WHAT IS SOMETHING MOM ALWAYS SAYS TO YOU? No.
2. WHAT MAKES MOM HAPPY? When I kiss her without being asked.
3. WHAT MAKES MOM SAD? When I don't behave.
4. WHAT DOES YOUR MOM DO TO MAKE YOU LAUGH? Dance (She tries really hard!)
5. HOW OLD IS YOUR MOM? 32.
6. HOW TALL IS YOUR MOM? She is really short. I'm almost taller than she is
7. WHAT IS YOUR MOM’S FAVORITE THING TO DO? Read.
8. WHAT DOES YOUR MOM DO WHEN YOU’RE NOT AROUND? She writes.
9. IF YOUR MOM BECOMES FAMOUS, WHAT WILL IT BE FOR? Her books.
10. WHAT IS YOUR MOM REALLY GOOD AT? Cooking and Writing.
11. WHAT IS YOUR MOM NOT VERY GOOD AT? She's pretty good at everything.

GET STRIPPED!
Today is release day for amazing author and my friend Marcia Colette. She has written an Urban Fantasy novel that features a kick ass heroine. I am so proud of her and can't wait read this!
Someone wants their perfect weapon back, only she’s not coming quietly.
Alexa Wells wants her life back. She’s just not sure what that life was. The memories inside her head—a stripper’s—aren’t hers, and before she humiliates herself onstage one more time, she sets out to collect the scattered pieces of her mind. The trail leads to Boston, charges of identity theft and murder, and the real bombshell: a forgotten werewolf lover who insists she’s a werewolf hybrid.
Matt York doesn’t care that she looks at him like he’s been smoking crack between court cases. Now that he has her back he’s not about to let her go it alone, even if she can easily kick ass and take names all by herself. Amnesia only scratches the surface of her problems, and like it or not, she’s stuck with him.
She’s also stuck with Robert Gamboldt, a venture capitalist who’s not above murdering his way to the top. He’s not about to lose his prize possession without playing dirty. It’s a simple enough offer. Be his personal assassin, or go to jail.
