Last week was a tough one here in sunny Central Florida.
My son is still sick with a nasty cough that has progressed into a pretty bad earache. As soon as he wakes up I'm toting him to the Doctor for meds.
On Saturday, my husband had the sad task of watching as they put his beloved cat Sammy to sleep. Sammy was eighteen years old and has been battling kidney disease. DH is still pretty broken up about it and I am hurting for him and the rest of his family.
In writing news...with everything going on around me, I still managed to make progress on my new manuscript and complete my edits for my contracted book. I'm on my way to making my writing goal for the year!

Also, I can totally relate with your husband. While we were in Florida this week, my in-laws came out from Wyoming and offered to watch our pets. Our dog (of 13 years) was struggling with Hyperthyroidism (sp) that ended up being thyroid cancer. She had to be taken in while we were gone. Sad week and it made for a very empty house when we came home. My son is still struggling with it...
